Welcome to Base TJ! "Daddy Got His Orders" is a book written specifically for deployed service members' children. It chronicles T.J.'s experience as he says goodbye to his daddy who serves in the United States Army. T.J., who is only 5 years old, learns why his daddy must leave him for such a long period of time; perhaps, more important how his daddy will be protected while he serves. The book is realistic as it is based on my son's true reactions to his daddy's receiving his orders.
